Wonderful musical figurine designed by Wayne Higgins from his "Carousel Maker Collection" titled: “The StoryTeller". This limited edition figurine is numbered 132 of 5000, Item Number: WH1010, first released in 1996 and marketed by Coyne's & Company, Minneapolis, MN.
The upper detachable portion of the figurine is a decorative sleigh with a grandfather figure reading a story to his granddaughter along with a plate of partially eaten cookies that sits on the sleigh bed floor. The sleigh has 3-D decorations which appear to be a Russian Orthodox Church on both sides, a Orthodox Church priest on the rear and a cherub angel at the front.
The lower portion is a wind-up music box that plays "White Christmas". There are two foil stickers on the bottom: “WH1010 ~ ‘The Story Teller’ ~ 132 of 5000” and “Plays: White Christmas. “Wayne Higgins” is written in gold as well as the collection information.
