In the late 19th Century sunflowers became very fashionable. In particular they came to represent the aesthetic movement that championed ‘art for art’s sake’ and was headed by Oscar Wilde. These silver earrings were made in the 1880s and each one has a sunflower with applied rose and yellow gold leaves. They are perfect to wear on a daily basis
