These are US Navy deck overall pants.
The color is navy.
These are 1940s wool-lined overalls.
CONTRACT NXs 9439
The inseam has a TALON zipper with a hook closure.
Both sides have CONMAR zippers with hook closures.
The hems have slits and can be adjusted with strings.
Stencil on the back.
These are the earliest navy-colored overalls, paired with the deck zipper jacket.
The zippers were prone to corrosion from saltwater, so they were later changed to hook types, making these pants very short-lived and rare.
There is no damage to the wool lining.
There is some light soiling and fading.
The right bib button was missing, so it has been repaired with a metal button from the 1920s-30s.
There is a pinched repair on the left rear hem.
With the shoulder adjustment straps at their longest, the length from shoulder to hem is 150cm, so they can be worn by people around 170cm tall.
