The Tripp Lite BHDBT-K-SI is an HDBaseT Lite extender kit that moves Ultra High Definition signals to the far side of a room, hall, or small building without the cost or bulk of long HDMI runs. It sends 4K video at 30 Hz as far as 130 feet and pushes 1080p at 60 Hz up to 230 feet, all through a single Cat5e, Cat6, or Cat6a cable. The kit arrives ready to work with a transmitter, a receiver, and the mounting hardware you need for a clean installation.

This solution is practical anywhere a source and a display cannot sit together. In a conference room, place a laptop or media player at the table and keep the projector near the ceiling. In a lecture hall, feed video from the control desk to a screen on the stage while preserving audio quality, including 7.1-channel surround formats such as DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD. For digital signage, mount the player in a secure closet and send content to a lobby display without signal loss.

Control is built in. The two-way IR path lets a handheld remote manage a Blu-ray player that sits with the transmitter, or it can adjust volume on the display side. An RS-232 channel at 115 Kbps gives automation systems a simple way to manage compatible touchscreens or switch inputs. Locking HDMI ports keep cables from slipping out when racks are bumped or cables are tugged.

Everything is plug and play, so no special software or network configuration stands between you and a working system. The kit is also TAA compliant, which makes it suitable for federal government installations and other projects that require approved origin.
