The leather will temporarily lighten in color with everyday walking, as your movement displaces oils, greases, and waxes. Oil is applied under pressure and at high temperature, which allows for a deeper impregnation of oil into the leather and a rugged finish. The resultant material is immediately full of character and color variegation, without looking artificially distressed; it’s easy to maintain, water resistant, and suitable for industrial applications.
