2013 series one dollar bill from the New York Federal Reserve District. Some 2013 "B" star notes were accidentally printed in Fort Worth, TX and Washington, DC resulting in duplicate serial numbers being issued.
This is one of those duplicate notes.
During 2013, star notes printed in Washington, DC were printed in runs of only 250K while star notes printed in Fort Worth, TX were printed in standard runs of 3.2 million.
According to NGC, as of September 2021 only 9 matching pairs have been confirmed out of the 6.65 million possible pairs that could be made.
A duplicate set was sold on eBay on October 9th, 2022 for $25,000.
This bill was printed in Washington, DC, Serial Number B06026903*. Bill pictured above is the actual bill. Black writing is on the case, not the bill.
