This is a Santa Clara Pueblo black fluted melon seed pot hand signed by David Baca, dated 1994. Beautifully handcrafted in the traditional Santa Clara Pueblo style, this vintage piece features a glossy blackware finish with finely carved/fluted ridges that create a striking melon-like texture. The pot is signed and dated on the bottom by the artist.
David Baca is the son of Angela Baca and grandson of Severa Tafoya
An excellent example of contemporary Native American pottery, this seed pot reflects both cultural heritage and artistic craftsmanship, making it a desirable addition for collectors of Pueblo pottery.
