Such a darling and unusual find. Rookwood Pottery with its usual Arts and Crafts glaze panache has glazed this production piece in a way I have never quite seen before. Take a look at these photos. The darker green glaze was lightly washed first before being firmly dipped with this blush rose matte Mauve. It makes for a startling three dimensional background that pops the soft relief of leaves and flowers and gives the impression of living veins under skin. Please note what looks like a line of very hard to see white marks, but they have no roughness. I had to change the lighting just to make them visible. Very nice antique condition. She stands 6.25 inches tall and 2 inches across the rim. Wrapped and shipped with care.
