On April 18, 2004, Sammy Sosa hit his 513th home run as a member of the Chicago Cubs, breaking Ernie Banks' record. Banks played his entire career with the Cubs. Sosa had hit one home run with the Texas Rangers (1989) and 28 home runs for the Chicago White Sox (1989-1991) before joining the Cubs in 1992. Sosa is the only major leaguer to hit at least 60 home runs three times: 66 in 1998, 63 in 1999 and 64 in 2001
