This is a copy of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion (U.K.). This is a first editon (1st Impression) of the original British printing of Tolkien's in-depth exploration of the world he created: the same world that includes his masterpieces The Hobbit & The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (1st book: The Fellowship of the Rings, 2nd book: The Two Towers, and 3rd book: The Return of the King).
This hardcover book is in good vintage condition, but there are a few flaws: There is a tear on the dustjacket (front/spine). There's additional shelfwear on the dustjacket, there's the previous owner's name inscribed on the 1st page (see last photo). There's some discoloration on the outside of the map. It's an excellent addition for any library of a Tolkien fan who loves middle-earth!
The map in the back is still neatly folded and intact.
