First edition, early (not numbered) printing hardcover copy of Ghosts I Have Met & Some Others by John Kendrick Bangs (Harper & Brothers, 1902). Rare antique collection of short fantasy / paranormal / occult / satire stories. With illustrations by Nowell, Frost & Richards. Some spotty discoloration/deterioration and moderate wear to covers. Corners bumped and with some fraying. Slightly cocked spine and with a few instances of split binding.m, though hinges remain secure. Previous owner’s inscription on front endpaper. Some sparse and faint soiling near edges of pages and to outer edges of text block. A few pages with small tears to edges, the worst of which is shown above. See photos for condition.
