A stirring theory based on the ancient beliefs of many in the existence of Gaia, or the Earth Mother. Lovelock posits the notion that the Earth is one organism rather than a separated series of creatures and systems. An important mystical / scientific / spiritual / occult text. Some mild rubbing to jacket with shelf wear around the edges. Boards are straight and clean with corners and spine ends slightly bumped. A few instances of mildly split binding but hinges remain secure and binding is fairly strong on the whole. Small circled “4” on front endpaper, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked.
