The EnGenius ENSTATION5-AC KIT is an outdoor 5 GHz wireless bridge package that ships with two matched radios ready for point-to-point or point-to-multipoint links. It uses 802.11ac Wave 2 technology, so the link can move up to 867 Mbps of combined throughput, which is valuable for video surveillance backhauls, VoIP traffic between buildings, or simply giving a distant office the same network experience as the main site.
Each radio contains a dual-polarized antenna that delivers 19 dBi of gain and focuses the signal in a tight beam. With a clear line of sight, the pair can maintain a stable connection out to five miles, a distance that would normally require fiber, trenching, or leased lines. Because the bridge runs in the less crowded 5 GHz band, it avoids much of the interference that can slow 2.4 GHz networks in busy areas.
Installation is straightforward. The housing carries an IP55 rating, so rain, dust, and wide temperature swings do not force you indoors. Included pole-mount brackets give you flexibility when choosing an aiming point on a mast, rooftop, or light pole. One Ethernet cable delivers both data and power through PoE, which means you can position the radio where an AC outlet does not exist. A secondary PoE-out port can pass power to a compatible camera, sensor, or access point, trimming the number of cables you have to run.
A choice of operating modes lets the device fit different network plans. Set it as an Access Point when you need a sector that clients can join directly, as a Client Bridge when you only want to receive a distant signal, or use WDS links for mesh-style expansion. Central management through the free ezMaster software allows an administrator to monitor performance, push firmware, and adjust settings for up to fifty EnGenius devices from one screen.
This kit suits IT managers who need campus-wide coverage, installers who must connect security cameras on lamp posts, or property owners who want a single, consistent network across multiple buildings. It saves time compared with trenching, reduces recurring costs compared with leased lines, and gives you control over every hop of your data.
