The CyberPower PDU81005 is a power distribution unit that offers switched control and outlet-level metering for equipment installed in a rack or network cabinet. It receives AC power through an IEC-320 C20 input and passes it to eight IEC-320 C13 outlets, giving you a dependable path from a UPS, generator or wall circuit to your servers, switches and storage devices.

With support for 100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 hertz, the unit adapts easily to worldwide power standards. Each outlet can be turned on or off remotely, so you can reboot locked-up hardware or schedule downtime without setting foot in the server room.

An interactive front panel display reports current draw for every outlet, which helps you balance loads, avoid breakers tripping and plan future expansion. Built-in Ethernet and serial connections tie the PDU into your existing management software, allowing administrators to monitor power use and environmental events from any location.

The chassis mounts in just one rack unit and includes a cord retention tray that keeps power cords secure and organized. Dual power cords let the PDU switch automatically between two independent sources, a valuable safeguard when you rely on redundant UPS systems or a combination of utility and generator feeds.

IT teams in data centers, edge closets, colocation facilities and testing labs will find this model especially useful. It supports remote troubleshooting, simplifies capacity planning and can lower operational costs by powering down equipment during off-peak hours.

Highlights:

  • 1U rackmount form fits standard 19 inch racks without wasting vertical space
  • Eight IEC-320 C13 outlets can be switched individually for remote reboot or energy savings
  • IEC-320 C20 input plug accepts 100 to 240 VAC at 50/60 Hz from UPS, generator or utility
  • Interactive front panel display shows current draw at each outlet in real time
  • Ethernet and serial ports enable remote monitoring and control through network tools
  • Dual power cord design switches sources automatically to maintain uptime
  • Cord retention tray secures plugs and reduces accidental disconnections
