The CyberPower PDU44002 is a power distribution unit that includes switching and an Automatic Transfer Switch, designed to keep critical rack equipment powered even when one feed fails.
It accepts 20 amps at 100 to 120 volt AC and distributes power to ten NEMA 5-20R outlets. Dual NEMA L5-20P input cords, along with the included adapters, let you connect two independent power sources. If the preferred feed drops, the unit moves connected loads to the secondary source in real time, so single-corded servers and network gear stay online.
Day-to-day management is simple. A front panel LCD shows load, voltage, and other key metrics, and you can choose its background color to match your alert scheme. Administrators can turn outlets on or off locally or through the integrated web interface, schedule boot sequences, and receive email or SNMP notifications when thresholds are crossed. That level of control is handy in branch offices, labs, or edge racks where on-site visits are costly.
The enclosure occupies one rack unit and is made from metal for durability in data center rows and compact network closets. An optional environmental sensor lets you track temperature and humidity without adding another device, and the three year limited warranty provides peace of mind for long-term deployments.
