Yuki-tsumugi is said to be one of the three major tsumugi fabrics.
This item is in a state with the starch applied after weaving, so it has a slightly stiff feel, but it is said that the original softness of Yuki-tsumugi will come out by doing "yumomi" (washing in hot water) before tailoring.
Yuki-tsumugi is woven with hand-spun yarn from raw silk, so the yarn is starched because it is difficult to weave with the fluffiness of the raw silk.
The fluffiness of the raw silk and the feeling of enveloping air are very warm, so we hope you will wear it in the cold season.
