The Aruba R7J28A is a wireless access point for campus networks that blends a tri radio design with 2x2 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6E technology. Because it transmits on 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz, every phone, laptop or tablet finds open spectrum, so lessons stream without buffering and large files sync while meetings continue uninterrupted.

Wi-Fi 6E support unlocks the 6 GHz band, offering additional channels and helping latency-sensitive apps such as VR labs, interactive whiteboards or cloud collaboration tools perform at their best. The access point delivers an aggregate throughput of up to 3.9 Gbps, giving busy lecture halls and open office floors capacity to grow.

For wired backhaul, the unit features two 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports that both accept Power over Ethernet. One cable can carry data and power, yet a 12 V DC input is available when PoE is not in place. Antennas are housed inside the enclosure and provide an omnidirectional pattern that suits ceiling installation while keeping the look clean.

Built-in Bluetooth 5 and Zigbee radios let facilities teams add IoT sensors, smart lighting or access control without extra gateways. Each radio can serve up to 512 clients, so the network stays responsive during exams, orientation events or company all-hands meetings. A mounting bracket is included, the hardware is UL2043 rated for plenum spaces, and Aruba backs the device with a limited lifetime warranty to safeguard long-term deployments.
