This is a Victorian pencil from the 1890s. Although the plating is worn, it's over 120 years old, so the fact that it still works is a miracle in itself. The lead diameter is about 1.6mm, and the manufacturer's name, V.S. Read, is engraved on the tip. The shaft can be extended, and when extended, it's about 12.5cm long, which is relatively large for a Victorian pencil. In addition, the head is decorated and shines beautifully.
