Excellent Antique condition- no chips, cracks or crazing
This is a Victorian antique EAPG Commemorative Dish & depicts the battle of Bunker Hill which took place just outside of Boston, Massachusetts during the American Revolutionary War. Its handles are molded in the shape of the US coat of arms.
It is an oval clear pressed glass platter measures 13"L x 9"W x 1.5"T
weighs 1.15Lbs Made in the USA.
The outer edges read "PRESCOTT 1776 STARK WARREN 1876 PUTNAM" These were the four major American players during the battle where the British took major casualties, despite winning the battle.
The inner rim reads "THE HEROES OF BUNKER HILL THE SPIRIT OF SEVENTY SIX"
In the center, around Bunker Hill Monument obelisk towering over neighboring buildings & reads "BIRTHPLACE OF LIBERTY." The maker is not listed it does have Patent on the rear of the plate.
This item is found in many New England Museums!
