This is a traditionally dressed Japanese warrior doll. The hands and face/head seem to be plaster covered wood. The armor looks like thickly covered paper with interwoven ribbons. The body is wood, I believe. The hair feels real. There are many layers of brocade adorned with various features
It is 9" by 19" tall and is missing both the stand that would allow it to be displayed and something in the right hand as well maybe a headpiece/helmet, I imagine. The head is cracked under the hair and repaired, I think.
