Antique 14K Gold, Ruby and Pearl Stick Pin Edwardian Filigree
This is a beautiful 14k gold, ruby and pearl stick pin/lapel pin that was made at the beginning of the 20th century. It has a very delicate design. The gold on the head of the pin has a hexagonal shape with a tapered bottom. At the bottom is a 2mm natural pearl. It has a 4mm rough round cut red garnet stone in its center, which is surrounded by an extensive amount of gold metal filigree work. The filigree work gives this pin its lacy look. Extensive use of filigree work is one of the most recognizable design elements of jewelry from the Edwardian Period, which was from 1901 to 1914. (Note: The Edwardian Period got its name from King Edward the 7th of England, who reigned from 1901 to 1910.) The stick part of the pin is stamped 14K. Verified and tested solid 14K gold, natural Ruby and Pearl.
