This milk glass dish with eagle nesting eggs is a commemorative piece produced during the Spanish American War (1898-1902) by the Flaccus Glass Co. The early milk glass has the signature fiery opalescence along the edges and represents an eagle sitting on its nest guarding eggs named Cuba, Porto Rica (sic), and Philippines. The front and back of the dish has a banner with embossed lettering reading The American Hen.
The dish and lid are in good vintage condition with issues and two chips as shown in pictures.
The bottom of the dish is marked PAT APPLIED FOR. Please see all photos for condition.
