Beautiful Vintage RARE Set of 2 Antique Meiji Japanese Porcelain Hand Painted Geisha / Bijin Guinomi Sake Cups or Sauce Bowls. They are Hand Made and vary slightly in size from each other. One still has a fine woven basket cover. Small footed bowls like Sakazuki bowls. Each is Freehand Hand Painted overglaze with a Geisha, red decor and a blue green border. The rims have a brown oxide treatment for strength and the feet have a black treatment for strenght. Great textural and color interest. See the photos.

Circa Meiji late 1800s, early 1900s. Japan.
One is Approx. 2.4" Diameter X 0.9" Tall. The other is Approx. 2.5" Diameter X 1" Tall.
Good previously owned antique condition. Some tiny chips around the rim. Some chips under the foot. Some loss of finish. There are some imperfections in the clay, glaze and painting with some impurities in the clay pushing through. The antique weaving is brittle from age with some loss.
