Information on Kay Kinney:
Kay Kinney (also known as Kay the Potter) resided for a time in the 1930's in the Bay Area of California and Sacramento, as she was an exhibiting member of the Kingsley Art Club. She is best known though for her work from Laguna Beach. She worked in several mediums with sculpture being most notable in the early part of her career and then later in fuse-glass mosaics, she was credited with authoring an instruction book titled: Contoured Glass. She had ties to the California Faience Pottery of Berkeley, California and Brayton Laguna Pottery of Laguna Beach, California, her designs were executed by these pottery companies.
